In addition to compiling and analyzing data sets from research experiments and working on a team to design a new experiment, the scholars and their mentors, Drs. Andrew Smyth, Jan Osborn, and Bart Wilson, regularly meet as a reading group to discuss Adam Smith’s The Theory of Moral Sentiments, Thomas Dixon’s From Passions to Emotions, John Steinbeck’s East of Eden, R. L. Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, as well as papers in experimental economics. The scholars will watched and discussed HBO’s The Wire.
