The workshop exposed participants to the field of experimental economics as most participants had very little to no prior exposure. The 24 participants came from across Vietnam to attend. The workshop students first participated in experiments earning cash. The experiments were followed by discussions by the workshop presenters. Topics covered included Auctions, Public Goods, and Contests. The participants enjoyed this format with one participant saying that having “experiments before delivering the content of the lecture…makes the abstract concept become more easier to understand.”
